If you're on the fence or waiting for a sale I'd still recommend you pick it up at it's full price. It's much better to jump in with DMC4SE over DmC DE because DmC DE, while a good action game isn't a very good Devil May Cry game and is very different from the original games. If you're worried about jumping into DMC4 don't worry as all of the games have self contained stories, obviously it's still better to play them in release order but jumping into DMC4 is also a pretty good option. It honestly puts most other remasters to shame with all of it's new content on top of what was already an amazing action game.ĭMC4 also welcomes newcomers with its new main character Nero.

They added 3 new characters, 10 new costumes, Turbo mode and Legendary Dark Knight mode on top of the already amazing DMC4 for only $25. Watch this combo video and you'll see why people praise this series and think that DMC4 is legendary! This creates endless possibilities for the gameplay and if you don't believe me you should search up some combo videos to see why this game is so amazing. The best change from DMC3 is that you're now able to use you're entire moveset including styles, guns and weapons all on the fly. If you haven't purchased this game I highly recommend it, the gameplay in DMC4 is fantastic. Now if only we could get Ninja Gaiden 1 or 2 on the PS4. One other thing, I've heard some people suggest against it because it's not necessarily how the game was designed to be played, but I 100% recommend turning on "Turbo" mode, it makes the game go 20% faster and I feel like these games are at their teeth-biting best when they're going super fucking fast. Paying $25 to get this one at launch was a no-brainer, 3 new characters and an excuse to replay one of my favorite games?! Nero's no slouch either but Dante is absolutely more fun imo. I'm not quick enough to utilize it the way some combo pros do it, but it's fun to mix up your gameplay so quickly. Wow I'm not sure why this game got a discussion thread but I'm glad to see some kind of DMC talk going on! It's hard to decide which of the OG dmc's is my fave, 4 was kind of annoying to go from point A to B as Nero then from B to A as Dante, however the combat was fantastic, and the on-the-fly style switching was such a badass change.
